The most you have to worry about when shooting at a Barrier is exposing yourself to enemy gunfire, but that's really not much of a risk, assuming you have competent healers, what with Overwatch's slow TTK.ĭ.Va's Nuke can also be launched through or above the shield with very little effort, which is a simple, not-very-skilled move that can easily turn the course of a teamfight, and through that the course of a match. There is an unlimited amount of ammo, so you're not losing a valuable, finite resource in doing so like you are when you have to break through Gibby's gunshield. In Overwatch, unloading into a barrier is not just acceptable, it's expected. That's also ignoring the number of ways with which a smart player can work around an OW Barrier.
Overwatch is also a much more forgiving game than any Battle Royale, much less one with a TTK as fast as Apex.
